ClinConnect Summary
The clinical trial titled "Nourishing Tomorrow" is exploring how providing medically tailored groceries can help pregnant women who face challenges in accessing healthy food. These groceries are specially chosen by nutrition experts to meet the needs of each participant, and the study aims to see if delivering these groceries to homes—along with educational support on healthy eating—can improve health outcomes for both mothers and their babies. This is particularly important because lack of access to nutritious food during pregnancy can lead to complications and poorer birth outcomes.
To join this study, participants need to be women aged 18 and older, currently pregnant between 10 and 22 weeks, and eligible for Medicaid. They should also be English speakers and live in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but when it starts, those who qualify can expect to receive grocery deliveries and resources to help them learn about healthy eating. This initiative aims to provide support and improve the overall health of pregnant women and their babies.
