ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether kinesio taping can help improve hand function in people who use computers frequently. Kinesio taping is a technique where special tape is applied to the skin to support muscles and joints. In this study, some participants will receive real kinesio taping on their forearms, while others will receive a fake (sham) taping that doesn't provide any actual support. The goal is to see if the real taping improves touch sensitivity, fine motor skills, grip strength, and reaction time better than the sham taping.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between the ages of 18 and 50 and use a computer for at least two hours a day. They should also have a stable job or student status for at least six months. However, individuals with certain medical conditions, such as nerve problems or musculoskeletal disorders affecting the arms or neck, cannot participate. During the study session, participants will undergo various tests to assess their hand function before, immediately after, and 30 minutes after the taping. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and anyone interested should check the eligibility criteria to see if they qualify.
