ClinConnect Summary
The CohorFES study is researching frailty syndrome, a condition that affects many older adults and can lead to disability. The goal of the trial is to better understand how frailty develops and progresses, as well as to identify specific patterns or "clusters" of symptoms that can help in treating patients more effectively. Researchers will collect various health-related information and samples from participants to explore what factors contribute to frailty and how it can be managed in clinical settings.
To participate, you need to be at least 65 years old and visiting outpatient clinics at the study sites. You will be asked to provide consent to join the study. Participants can expect to undergo health assessments, including questionnaires and physical measurements, each year to track changes in their health. This study aims to gather important information that could lead to better care for older adults facing frailty, helping to reduce hospital visits and improve overall health outcomes.
