ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying something called "rebound pain," which is a sudden and intense pain that some patients experience after having a nerve block to manage pain after knee surgery. The trial focuses on patients who are undergoing total knee arthroplasty, commonly known as knee replacement surgery. Researchers want to find out how often this rebound pain occurs and how it affects patients after their surgery. They will also look at how severe the pain is, if patients need extra pain relief, and how it impacts their overall comfort and satisfaction.

To take part in this study, participants need to be between 18 and 70 years old, scheduled for a knee replacement surgery using spinal anesthesia, and must agree to keep a pain diary after their surgery. However, people with certain conditions, such as allergies to local anesthetics or serious health issues, will not be eligible to join. Those who participate can expect to provide information about their pain levels and overall experience after the surgery, helping researchers understand the effects of nerve blocks better. This study is currently not recruiting participants.
