ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a specific breathing technique called the 4-7-8 breathing method can help patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). COPD is a lung condition that makes it hard to breathe and can cause symptoms like coughing and shortness of breath (dyspnea). The trial aims to see if practicing this breathing technique, along with regular medications, can improve breathing, lung function, and overall quality of life for people with mild to moderate COPD.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be adults aged 40 to 64 and can be either men or women. They should have mild to moderate COPD, which is measured using a tool called the Modified MRC dyspnea scale. However, those with more severe stages of COPD or recent infections will not be included. If you join the study, you can expect to learn the breathing technique and see how it affects your symptoms over time. This trial is actively recruiting participants, and taking part could provide valuable insights into managing COPD more effectively.
