ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to understand how common myocarditis, which is an inflammation of the heart muscle, is in patients who are suspected of having a heart attack but have non-obstructive coronary arteries. This condition is known as MINOCA (Myocardial Infarction with Non-Obstructive Coronary Arteries). The researchers want to learn more about the characteristics and diagnostic markers of myocarditis in these patients.
To participate in the study, individuals must be diagnosed with MINOCA and show specific symptoms such as changes in heart function on tests like an ECG or echocardiogram, along with elevated heart enzymes. However, those with significant coronary artery disease or a history of myocarditis or other heart muscle diseases are not eligible. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but once it starts, it could help improve understanding and treatment options for patients experiencing these heart-related issues.
