ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a treatment called peripheral nerve blocks to help relieve chronic jaw pain, specifically for patients who have temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. The aim is to see how effective these injections are for people who have not found relief from at least two other treatments, such as physical therapy or medications. The study will take place at a specialized clinic, and the injections are already a common practice there.
To participate, you need to be an adult who has experienced jaw pain for more than a year and has tried at least two other treatments without success. You'll receive the nerve block as part of your regular care and will have follow-up visits about every four months to monitor how well the treatment is working. Your personal information will be kept safe and private throughout the study. If you decide to join, you can leave the study at any time without it affecting your regular medical care. The researchers are looking to enroll 40 patients for this trial.
