ClinConnect Summary
The Microsteps Study is looking at how short, animated storytelling videos and written messages can help people adopt healthier behaviors. The researchers want to see if watching these videos and reading the messages can encourage participants to make positive changes in their daily habits right after they see them and also two weeks later. They will also explore how these messages affect participants' feelings of hope and happiness, as well as whether they continue to engage with the health messages after the trial is over. This study will be conducted entirely online.
To take part in the study, participants need to be between the ages of 18 and 75, live in the U.S. or the U.K., and be registered on the Prolific Academic platform. Importantly, they must be using a specific type of medication called GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA). There are no other specific requirements to join. Participants can expect to watch some videos, read messages about healthy behaviors, and share their thoughts on how these materials impacted their attitudes and actions regarding their health.
