ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how different levels of cervical stenosis, which is a narrowing of the spinal canal in the neck, affect pain, sensitivity, and overall quality of life in people with chronic neck pain. Central sensitization is a condition where even light touch or movement can cause significant pain, making it difficult for patients to engage in physical activities and enjoy their daily lives. By looking at factors like pain levels, movement abilities, and sensory changes, the researchers aim to gather important information that could help improve treatments and patient care for those suffering from neck pain.

To participate in the study, individuals must be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have experienced neck pain for at least three months. Participants will undergo various tests, including measuring their pain sensitivity and range of motion, as well as completing questionnaires about their quality of life. It's important to note that individuals who have had recent surgeries, severe pain that limits movement, or certain neurological or psychiatric conditions will not be eligible for this trial. This study aims to better understand how cervical stenosis impacts patients, which could lead to better pain management strategies and improved quality of life.
