ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving how rural residents use antibiotics, which are medicines that fight infections. The goal is to educate people about the importance of using these drugs responsibly and to reduce the problem of antibiotic resistance, which happens when bacteria become strong against treatments. The study will involve various educational activities and strategies to help residents understand when and how to use antibiotics correctly, as well as how to safely dispose of them. By doing so, the researchers hope to see a significant decrease in improper use of these medications.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have lived in the community for more than six months. Unfortunately, those with serious mental health issues that prevent them from completing a survey will not be eligible. If you join, you can expect to take part in discussions and activities that will help you learn about using antibiotics safely. The researchers will measure changes in understanding and behavior regarding antibiotic use over a six-month period. This trial is an important step in promoting better health practices in rural areas.
