This clinical trial is looking at a type of therapy called Analytic-Integrative Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to see if it helps people with acute insomnia disorder, which is often caused by stress. The goal is to find out if this therapy can improve sleep and overall well-being for those who are struggling to sleep due to stress.

To participate in the study, you need to be at least 18 years old and meet certain criteria, such as having been diagnosed with insomnia disorder and scoring above 5 on a sleep quality questionnaire. However, this study is not for everyone. If you have serious physical or mental health issues, certain sleep disorders, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, you won't be eligible to join. If you decide to participate, you can expect to receive therapy focused on improving your sleep and managing stress, and you'll be helping researchers learn more about effective treatments for insomnia.

Eligibility criteria

  • Inclusion Criteria:
  • 1. meeting the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for insomnia disorder;
  • 2. a total score of \>5 on the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI);
  • 3. age ≥18 years old, with junior high school education or above;
  • 4. voluntarily participating in this study and signing an informed consent form;
  • 5. the diagnostic criteria for acute insomnia disorder (duration of the disease less than 3 months).
  • Exclusion Criteria:
  • 1. people with comorbid serious physical or severe mental illnesses, suicide risk;
  • 2. clinically diagnosed or suspected sleep breathing disorder, restless legs syndrome and sleep-wake rhythm disorder, shift workers;
  • 3. pregnant and breastfeeding women;
  • 4. people who are currently undergoing any psychological treatment.
