ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different factors in a patient's neighborhood, like access to resources and support, might affect their recovery after knee replacement surgery. It also looks at whether patients’ own reports of pain and how well they can move are related to their actual recovery, which will be monitored using a special device. Additionally, the trial aims to see if using this monitoring device can help reduce the number of doctor visits needed in the first three months after surgery while still ensuring that patients are happy with their care and their recovery progress.
To participate in this study, patients need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for a knee replacement surgery, either for the first time or as a follow-up to a previous surgery. However, those who have had surgery on the other knee or hip close to the same time, or who have certain physical limitations that prevent them from doing physical therapy, cannot join. If you decide to participate, you'll be part of a process that could help improve knee replacement outcomes for future patients.
