ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different types of instructors—human versus machine—affect how well people learn Basic Life Support (BLS) skills through virtual reality (VR) training. The study will measure how accurately participants perform the BLS techniques, how stressed they feel during training, and how immersive the experience is for them. Participants will be randomly assigned to either a human instructor or a machine instructor and will later take part in a simulated emergency exam to test their skills.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be over 18 years old and should not have previously completed BLS training. Individuals with a history of motion sickness from VR, vertigo, or certain medical conditions that could cause dizziness won’t be able to join. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to understand the best way to teach lifesaving skills in a way that is effective and comfortable for learners.
