ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring new ways to prevent bleeding in patients with a condition called portal hypertension, which can lead to the development of swollen veins (varices) in the esophagus and stomach. The current treatment method involves using a technique called endoscopic esophageal variceal ligation, but many patients still experience rebleeding. This study aims to create a personalized treatment plan based on individual patient characteristics, using advanced imaging techniques to assess the blood vessels involved. The goal is to find tailored treatment options that can help reduce the risk of rebleeding and improve overall outcomes.
To participate in this study, you must have been diagnosed with portal hypertension and have undergone imaging tests and an endoscopic examination within the last week, where varices were found. You will be treated based on a detailed assessment of your condition, and the trial will also look at the effectiveness of certain medications that may help lower the risk of rebleeding. If you meet the criteria, you can expect to receive a treatment plan specifically designed for your needs, with ongoing support and evaluation throughout the process.
