ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how two different approaches—vagus nerve stimulation and deep breathing exercises—affect the autonomic nervous system in mothers of children with cerebral palsy. The autonomic nervous system controls things in our body that happen automatically, like heart rate and digestion. The study aims to understand if these practices can help reduce pain, depression, and caregiver stress, while also improving sleep quality.
To participate, mothers must be between 18 and 50 years old and have a child diagnosed with cerebral palsy aged 4 to 18 years. They will be randomly placed into one of two groups: one group will receive vagus nerve stimulation, while the other will practice deep breathing exercises. Before and after the study, researchers will check how these methods affect the mothers' well-being. It’s important to note that mothers who have chronic health issues or are caring for other young children may not be eligible to join. If you decide to participate, you’ll be fully informed about the study and will need to give your written consent.
