ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different types of collagen supplements can affect skin health, particularly in the eye area, for middle-aged women. As our skin ages, it can develop wrinkles and lose its elasticity due to a decrease in collagen production. The trial will involve 150 women aged 35 to 58 who have not been physically active for at least a year. Participants will be randomly assigned to take one of three types of collagen supplements daily for three months. Researchers will assess improvements in skin qualities such as hydration, oiliness, flexibility, and the appearance of expression lines.
To be eligible for the trial, women must meet certain criteria, including being within the specified age range and agreeing to participate after understanding the study details. However, those who have recently had certain cosmetic procedures, smoked in the past three years, or used specific skin-repairing products will not be included. Participants can expect to undergo evaluations on their skin's condition and may contribute to important research that could help understand the benefits of collagen for skin health.
