ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether support from nurses through telehealth can help people with gout manage their condition better and stick to their medication after visiting a rheumatology clinic. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will receive regular support from nurses using different methods like an app, reminder letters, text messages, or phone calls, while the other group will return to their regular doctor for follow-ups. The goal is to help patients reach a healthy level of uric acid in their blood within a year.
To join the study, participants need to be at least 18 years old, have a confirmed diagnosis of gout, and be taking medications like Allopurinol or Adenuric. They should also be able to read and write in Danish. People who have difficulty understanding or giving consent due to cognitive issues will not be eligible. This trial is important because it aims to improve the way people with gout manage their health and stick to their treatment plans, ultimately leading to better outcomes.
