ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is examining two alternative treatments—systemic vibratory therapy (SVT) and osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT)—for individuals living with obesity. The study aims to understand how these therapies can affect various health measures, such as heart health, physical fitness, and overall well-being. Researchers will gather information about participants' heart rates, blood pressure, body measurements, and other health indicators before and after the treatments to see how they improve over time.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have obesity, defined as a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher. However, those with certain health conditions, like uncontrolled high blood pressure or recent heart issues, will not be eligible. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of five groups, each receiving different combinations of the therapies or no treatment at all. Throughout the study, participants can expect to undergo various assessments to track their progress and learn more about their health.
