ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how dietary advice and palliative care (which focuses on improving quality of life) can affect the well-being and health of cancer patients in Bangladesh. Researchers want to understand if providing nutrition counseling can help improve patients' quality of life, their ability to perform daily activities, and their nutritional health. Malnutrition is a common issue for cancer patients and can lead to serious complications, so this study aims to see if targeted support can make a difference.
To participate in the study, individuals must be cancer patients who are currently receiving standard treatment, are willing to join, and can eat orally. Those who are not in treatment or cannot eat are not eligible. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will receive nutrition and palliative care counseling, while the other will not. Over a few months, researchers will collect information through surveys to see how the different approaches impact the participants' quality of life and overall health. This study is important as it aims to provide insights specific to cancer patients in Bangladesh, where such research has been limited.
