ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a brief digital training program can help recreational runners improve their performance in a half marathon. Specifically, researchers want to see if this program can help runners better understand and manage the physical challenges they might face during training and the race, like fatigue or muscle soreness. The trial will include healthy adults who are registered to run in a half marathon in New Zealand in 2025. Participants will be divided into groups: one group will receive the mindset training, another will follow standard training advice, and a third group will not receive any training content.
To join the study, participants should be at least 18 years old, registered for their first, second, or third half marathon, and able to run the race without assistance. They'll complete a short online survey at the start, engage with four pieces of digital content over nine weeks, and then fill out a follow-up survey after the race. This study is not yet recruiting, but it aims to help runners achieve their best performance and recover faster after the race.
