ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well a non-narcotic pain medication called oral ketorolac works compared to a standard pain medication, oxycodone, after patients have knee surgery to repair a torn ligament known as the ACL. The goal is to see if ketorolac can help reduce the amount of narcotic pain medication people need after surgery and if some patients can manage their pain without using any narcotics at all.
To participate in this trial, you should be between 15 and 55 years old and planning to undergo primary ACL surgery using a graft from your own body (autograft). You also need to be able to take oral medications and be willing to participate in follow-up appointments virtually to count your pain pills. If you join the study, you will be randomly assigned to receive either the ketorolac or the oxycodone, and you'll be monitored to see how well your pain is managed after the surgery. This trial is currently looking for volunteers, so if you meet the criteria and are interested, you could play an important role in helping improve pain management after ACL surgery.
