ClinConnect Summary
The clinical trial titled "A Twenty-years' Experience in Pituitary Disease" is studying different types of tumors that can develop in the pituitary gland, which is a small gland located at the base of the brain. Specifically, it focuses on pituitary adenomas, a common type of tumor, as well as other rare tumors. The goal of this research is to gather information from over 1,600 patients who have had surgery for these tumors over the past two decades. By collecting data on their clinical, biochemical, and pathological details, the researchers aim to better understand these conditions and develop a way to predict the outcomes for patients.
To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have undergone surgery for a pituitary tumor, with a follow-up period of at least two years. The trial is open to all genders, and it aims to provide valuable insights that could help improve treatment and management of pituitary diseases. If you or a loved one qualify, you can expect to be part of a research effort that may lead to better understanding and care for future patients with similar conditions.
