ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new imaging technique called fusion imaging to improve the success of a treatment called endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for patients experiencing an acute ischemic stroke, which is caused by a blockage in a large blood vessel in the brain. The goal is to see if using this advanced imaging can help doctors access the target blood vessel more easily, achieve faster blood flow restoration, and complete the procedure in a timely manner. Previous studies suggest that fusion imaging could lead to better outcomes for patients without making the procedure longer.
To participate in this trial, individuals need to be at least 18 years old and eligible for an EVT procedure. However, if someone has already been part of this study or does not have access to the necessary preoperative imaging, they would not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive standard care while also allowing researchers to evaluate how the new imaging technique affects their treatment outcomes. Overall, this study aims to enhance the effectiveness of stroke treatments, potentially leading to better recovery for patients.
