ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a special gel called Metformin, applied after the removal of impacted lower third molars (wisdom teeth), to see if it helps with healing. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the Metformin gel or a placebo gel that does not contain the active ingredient. The trial aims to understand if this treatment can improve recovery after surgery, which will be done under local anesthesia to numb the area.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be at least 18 years old and have a specific type of impacted wisdom tooth, but they should not have any health issues that affect healing, such as systemic diseases or infections. Participants can expect a thorough explanation of the procedure, including potential risks and follow-up care. The trial is currently not recruiting, so it's important to check back for updates if you're interested.
