ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special type of exercise called high-intensity interval training (HIIT) can help older adults who are experiencing strength loss. The program will take place in a community gym over nine weeks, with classes held twice a week. Participants will engage in exercises that mimic everyday movements, and the study will track improvements in heart health, balance, strength, muscle size, and overall muscle quality. Researchers will evaluate these changes each week to see how effective the training is.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between 18 and 99 years old and must be able to walk 100 feet without any help from devices like a cane or walker. They should also be physically cleared to exercise and have no severe mental impairments. If you or someone you know fits these criteria and is interested in improving strength and fitness, this study could be a great opportunity to participate in a structured exercise program while contributing to important research.
