ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Brain Fog and Life Quality in Menopause," is studying how menopause affects women's thinking and memory, often referred to as "brain fog." The researchers want to understand how changes in hormone levels, particularly estrogen, influence cognitive abilities like memory and attention during different stages of menopause: perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause. The goal is to see how these cognitive changes relate to women’s quality of life during this time and to develop helpful strategies that can improve well-being without using medications.
Women aged 40 to 60 who are in any stage of menopause may be eligible to participate. They should be able to complete specific questionnaires about their cognitive experiences and quality of life, and they must be willing to volunteer for the study. However, women with certain neurological or psychiatric disorders, those currently on hormone therapy, or those experiencing menstrual changes for reasons other than menopause will not be able to join. Participants can expect to share their experiences and contribute to important research that aims to enhance the quality of life for women going through menopause.
