ClinConnect Summary
The PROPULSION SANTE trial is studying how to improve the diagnosis of asthma in children and adults by using a method called inflammometry. This involves measuring certain markers in the breath and blood (specifically, fractional exhaled nitric oxide and eosinophil count) to help prioritize which patients need respiratory tests first. The goal is to find out if this method can help reduce waiting times for high-risk patients who might have asthma, making the overall process quicker and more efficient.
To participate in this study, patients must be at least 6 years old and have been referred by their primary healthcare provider for asthma testing, such as breathing tests. They will go through a few assessments, including measuring their breath and a blood test, and will answer questions about their asthma control and quality of life. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to improve how doctors interpret test results by using the additional information from inflammometry, ultimately leading to better care for patients with suspected asthma.
