ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "ChatGPT & Surgeon Synergy," aims to improve the experience of patients who are having breast reconstruction consultations after surgery for breast cancer. In this study, patients will be divided into two groups. One group will receive information about reconstruction options generated by ChatGPT, a computer program designed to help provide clear educational materials. The other group will get the usual information provided by their healthcare team. After their consultations, both patients and surgeons will fill out surveys to share their thoughts on how helpful and satisfying the consultation was.
To be eligible for this trial, patients need to be at least 18 years old, scheduled for their first breast reconstruction consultation, and able to speak and understand English. Surgeons who want to participate must also be at least 18 years old, regularly perform breast reconstruction surgeries, and speak English. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it hopes to gather valuable feedback that could enhance patient engagement and satisfaction during these important consultations.
