ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Life Following Excision of Neuroendocrine Tumors," is exploring how surgery affects the quality of life (QOL) for patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). NETs are a type of cancer that can often be managed rather than cured, and surgery is an important part of treatment. However, we don’t know enough about how surgery impacts patients' lives after the operation. This study aims to gather information from adults who are having surgery to remove these tumors, focusing on their experiences and well-being both before and after surgery over a period of three years.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be over 18 years old and have been diagnosed with a specific type of NET that can be treated with surgery. Those who agree to participate will complete questionnaires about their health and quality of life at various points after their surgery. By collecting this information from patients at multiple hospitals in North America and Europe, the study hopes to improve surgical decisions and care for future patients with NETs. Overall, the goal is to better understand how surgery can affect patients' lives and ensure they receive care that truly meets their needs.
