ClinConnect Summary
The MOGADOR clinical trial is studying gambling disorder, which is a serious addiction that can lead to significant financial, emotional, and legal problems for individuals and their families. The goal of this study is to understand how certain factors, like a person's background and mental health, can predict how well they will do in treatment over the first year. Researchers will look at specific criteria from a guide called DSM-5 to see if patients improve after 12 months of care.
To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old and meet certain criteria for gambling disorder, meaning they have shown signs of this addiction in the past year. They should be starting treatment or have not received treatment in the last six months. However, people who cannot be easily contacted, have certain medical conditions, or are unable to use the internet will not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to contribute to important research aimed at improving treatment for gambling addiction and understanding what helps people recover.
