ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how two fun items—a rain stick and a musical egg—can help reduce pain, fear, and anxiety in young children during blood collection. The study will involve children aged 4 to 6 years old, and researchers will compare the experiences of kids who use these items to those who don’t. The goal is to see if these musical tools can make the process easier and less scary for children.
To participate, children need to be between 4 and 6 years old and should not be experiencing any acute pain or have any mental or hearing disabilities. Parents must also agree to take part in the study. Kids who are selected will have the chance to experience either the rain stick or musical egg during a blood draw, and researchers will observe how these tools affect their feelings of pain, fear, and anxiety. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to find ways to improve children's experiences during medical procedures.
