ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial, called "Case-Finding for Neurocognitive Disorders in Pavia," is focused on improving the early detection and care of dementia and Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). Researchers are trying to find out the best ways to identify people who may have these conditions by comparing three different locations: general practitioners' offices, a dedicated Dementia Operations Center, and community events called Open Days. The goal is to see how many individuals can be diagnosed early, which can help them receive the support they need sooner. Additionally, the study will explore the overall impact of two new projects aimed at supporting patients and their caregivers in the Pavia area.

To participate in this trial, individuals must be 50 years or older and have no prior diagnosis of cognitive decline. They also need to understand the study and be able to give their consent to join. Caregivers of patients with suspected or confirmed dementia and healthcare professionals involved in the project can also take part. Participants can expect to receive assessments and support through the new Center for Cognitive Disorders and Dementia, helping to improve their experience and care. This trial is important because it aims to enhance how we detect and manage dementia, ultimately benefiting patients and their families.
