ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "The Kidney's Response to Exercise in Heat, and the Impact of Vitamin B3 on This Response," aims to understand how our kidneys react when we exercise in hot conditions. Researchers want to find out how the body’s chemical responses change with different levels of heat stress and whether taking vitamin B3 can influence these changes. This study will involve healthy volunteers who are physically active and meet specific health criteria.
To participate, volunteers should be between the ages of 18 and 75, be in good health with normal kidney function, and not be smokers or take vitamin B3 supplements regularly. Participants will be asked to engage in exercise under controlled heat conditions, and they will learn more about how their bodies respond to heat and the potential effects of vitamin B3. It’s important to note that those with certain medical conditions or allergies may not be eligible for this study. Overall, this trial seeks to improve our understanding of kidney health during exercise in hot environments.
