ClinConnect Summary
The DHEAL-COM-MCI trial is exploring a new way to help older adults with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), which is a condition that can make it harder to think and remember. This study is testing a combination of activities, technology, and robots designed to improve mental skills and support the overall well-being of participants. The goal is to slow down the decline in cognitive abilities and help individuals maintain their independence for longer.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must have a diagnosis of MCI and score between 21 and 27 on a specific cognitive test. They should also have minimal depression, as indicated by a low score on the Geriatric Depression Scale. However, some individuals may not qualify if they have certain medical conditions, like heart problems, severe arthritis, or significant vision or hearing issues. If someone joins the study, they can expect to engage in various activities and use technology that may help improve their cognitive skills. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it welcomes individuals of all genders aged 23 and older.
