ClinConnect Summary
The DHEAL-COM-OP study is a research trial looking at how a new rehabilitation program can help improve the physical abilities of older patients with osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a condition that weakens bones, making them more likely to break. In this study, researchers will use a special technology called BTS TELEREHAB to provide rehabilitation support to participants, and they will measure improvements using a simple test that assesses mobility and balance.
To join this study, participants need to be older adults diagnosed with osteoporosis but without any recent major fractures. They should be able to walk independently for at least 30 seconds and score well on a mental health test. However, those who have had serious heart issues, certain painful conditions that affect movement, or other significant health problems may not be eligible. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but when it starts, those who join can expect to engage in a tele-rehabilitation program designed to help them improve their strength and balance in a supportive way.
