ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the risks that children may face after having heart surgery. Researchers want to find out what factors can lead to complications like heart rhythm problems, kidney injury, infections, and other issues that can occur after the surgery. They will look at medical records from children who had heart surgery at a hospital in Brazil between 2025 and 2027. By analyzing various information such as the time spent on a heart-lung machine and the medications used, the goal is to understand what might help prevent these complications and improve care for young patients.
To participate in this study, children must be under 18 years old and have had heart surgery. Those over 18, pregnant women, or patients having other types of chest surgeries will not be included. The researchers will use the information gathered to develop better strategies for patient care, aiming to make surgeries safer and reduce hospital costs. If you know a child who fits the criteria, this study could lead to important findings that help improve their surgical experience and outcomes.
