ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how often patients undergoing heart surgery experience difficulties with airway management, which is how doctors help patients breathe during surgery. A difficult airway can happen when it's hard to place a breathing tube or provide oxygen, and this can be more challenging in patients with heart issues. The goal of the study is to develop a prediction model to identify patients at risk of having a difficult airway. This is important because knowing who might face these challenges can help doctors plan better and reduce the risk of serious problems during surgery.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be over 18 years old and scheduled for cardiovascular surgery, with a physical status classified as ASA I-IV (a scale that helps assess patients' overall health). However, individuals with known airway difficulties, certain neck or upper airway problems, or those at risk of choking will not be included. The trial has not yet started recruiting participants, but once it does, those who join can expect to contribute to important research that could improve care for future patients undergoing similar surgeries.
