ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether using earplugs and eye masks after orthopedic surgery can help improve comfort and recovery for patients. The study will involve 60 patients who are undergoing various orthopedic surgeries between June and October 2025. Participants will be randomly divided into two groups: one group will use earplugs and eye masks after their surgery, while the other group will not. The researchers will ask all participants questions about their comfort and recovery at 24 and 48 hours after surgery to see if there are any differences between the two groups.
To be eligible for this study, patients need to be at least 18 years old, able to speak and understand Turkish, and must not have hearing impairments or psychiatric conditions that require regular medication. All participants will need to give their consent to join the study. This trial aims to find out if simple tools like earplugs and eye masks can make a positive difference in the recovery experience after surgery, making it more comfortable for patients.
