ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different surgical techniques to treat gum recession, a condition where the gums pull back from the teeth, exposing more of the tooth. Researchers want to compare the effectiveness of the coronally advanced flap technique and the tunnel technique, both using a special treatment called platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) that helps with healing. The study will involve 11 participants who have the same gum issues on both sides of their mouths, allowing researchers to see which method works better.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old, in good overall health, and have specific types of gum recession. They should also have good oral hygiene and be willing to follow care instructions. Participants will receive treatment and then have follow-up assessments at 3 and 6 months to see how well their gums are healing. It’s important to note that people who smoke, are pregnant, or have certain health conditions may not be eligible. If you’re interested, please keep an eye out for when the study starts recruiting participants!
