ClinConnect Summary
The ADHINCRA Program is a research study aimed at improving the management of high blood pressure, also known as hypertension, in Africa. This program will test a set of strategies designed to help patients, healthcare providers, and health systems work better together to control hypertension. By successfully implementing these strategies, the program hopes to lower the chances of serious health issues like heart disease, stroke, and kidney problems in the future.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between 18 and 70 years old and have been diagnosed with high blood pressure (with a measurement of 140 mmHg or higher) during their last clinic visit within the past six months. They should be receiving primary care at one of the study sites and must own a smartphone to engage with the program. Participants will need to provide informed consent, meaning they agree to be part of the study after understanding what it involves. It's important to note that individuals with certain serious health conditions, those who are pregnant or nursing, and those aged outside the specified range will not be eligible. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into better hypertension care in Africa.
