ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two treatment techniques, the Strain Counterstrain Technique and the Graston Technique, to see which one is more effective in relieving pain from trigger points in a muscle called the quadratus lumborum. This muscle is located in the lower back and can become painful due to poor posture and body mechanics. The trial will include adults aged 20 to 45 who have been experiencing low back pain for at least 12 weeks and have specific tenderness in this muscle area.
Participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two treatments over four weeks. Before and after the treatment period, their pain levels and mobility will be assessed to see how well each technique works. It’s important to note that individuals with certain medical conditions or those who have had significant back surgeries will not be eligible for this study. If you or someone you know fits the age range and has been struggling with persistent low back pain, this trial could offer valuable insights into effective treatment options.
