ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at different methods to help manage pain after a specific type of surgery called video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS), which is often used for lung procedures. The researchers want to compare three different techniques: the transversus thoracic muscle plane block (TTPB), the erector spinae plane block (ESPB), and the thoracic paravertebral block (TPVB). These techniques involve using local anesthetics to numb areas of the body and reduce pain after surgery.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for VATS under general anesthesia. The study is open to all genders, but certain health conditions may exclude you, such as a high body mass index, history of pain issues, or certain allergies. If you join the study, you will receive one of the pain management techniques being tested, and your recovery will be monitored to see how well it works. This information will help improve pain management for future patients undergoing similar surgeries.
