ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating the flexibility of the structures around the ankle in people who have chronic ankle instability, which means their ankle tends to give way or feel unstable. The study is looking for participants between the ages of 18 and 45 who have been diagnosed with this condition by a doctor and have instability in just one ankle. Researchers will compare the flexibility of the affected ankle to the healthy one and gather information about the participants' backgrounds and foot posture.
If you're eligible, you will be asked to participate in evaluations that include simple tests to measure the strength and flexibility of certain muscles and tendons around your ankle. To qualify, you should have a good score on a mental assessment and not have had any lower leg surgeries or use walking aids. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and all genders are welcome. This study aims to help understand ankle instability better and could contribute to developing more effective treatments.
