ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a treatment called muscle energy technique to help children who have stiffness in their elbows after injuries. Specifically, it aims to see if this technique can reduce pain, improve how well kids can use their elbows, and increase their range of motion, which is how far they can move their elbows. The study is currently recruiting children between the ages of 6 and 12 who have experienced specific types of elbow injuries, such as fractures.
To participate, children must have had their elbow immobilized (kept still) for at least four weeks and should be referred by an orthopedic doctor. However, kids with certain conditions, like ligament injuries, diabetes, or neurological issues, cannot join the study. If eligible, participants can expect to receive the muscle energy treatment during the trial and help researchers understand if this method is effective for young patients dealing with elbow stiffness after an injury.
