ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding a condition called dysfunctional breathing in people who have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS). TOS is a condition that affects the nerves and blood vessels in the upper body, often causing pain. Researchers want to find out if people with TOS have a specific breathing pattern that differs from healthy individuals. By comparing these two groups, they hope to learn more about the relationship between TOS and breathing issues.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between 18 and 65 years old and have been diagnosed with TOS by a thoracic surgeon. They should also have experienced pain for more than six months. However, people who have had previous surgeries for TOS or certain severe health conditions may not be eligible. Participants can expect to share their experiences and undergo assessments related to their breathing patterns. This study is currently recruiting, and it aims to shed light on how TOS can impact breathing, potentially leading to better treatment options in the future.
