ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether taking Vitamin D can help reduce inflammation in people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) in Mexico. Inflammation is a common issue for those with T2DM, and this study hopes to see if Vitamin D can improve their health. If you are an adult diagnosed with T2DM and have been managing it with diet or metformin for less than five years, you might be eligible to participate. The study is open to people of Mexican descent, including their children and grandchildren.
Participants will take one Vitamin D pill each day for six months and will need to visit the clinic at the start and every two months for check-ups—totaling four visits. During these visits, researchers will measure various health indicators and collect blood samples to analyze your health. Plus, you’ll receive weekly phone calls to remind you to take your Vitamin D pill. Best of all, joining this study is completely free, and you can choose to leave at any time without any penalties. At the end of the study, you will receive your results, helping you understand how Vitamin D may have impacted your condition.
