ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a new training program using Augmented Reality (AR) can help workers in warehouses learn better ways to handle heavy items safely. The focus is on improving their knowledge about ergonomics, which is the science of designing work tasks to prevent injuries, especially to the muscles and joints. Workers who participate will use a special app called MAKAR XR to get training lessons and will be asked to fill out questionnaires to track their progress over a few weeks.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be Malaysian citizens, at least 18 years old, and currently employed as manual material handling workers in a warehouse. This means they regularly lift, push, or carry heavy objects (14 kg or more) for at least 8 hours a day. Pregnant individuals, interns, or those who have received similar training in the last six months cannot join. Participants can expect to receive reminders through WhatsApp and will take part in follow-up evaluations to see how well the training has worked for them. This study aims to find out if the AR training is more effective than traditional methods in preventing work-related injuries.
