Effects of Liquid Hourglass and Spiky Ball on Pain, Fear, Anxiety and Emotional Manifestations

This clinical trial is studying how two different tools, a liquid hourglass and a spiky ball, might help reduce pain, fear, anxiety, and emotional stress in young children aged 4 to 6 during blood collection procedures. The researchers want to see if using these items can make the experience less scary and painful for kids compared to those who do not use them. Both groups of children will be observed to see if there is a difference in their feelings and reactions.

To participate in this study, children must be between 4 and 6 years old, and both the child and their parent must agree to take part and be able to speak Turkish. Children who are currently in pain, have a high fever (38°C or more), or have certain disabilities will not be included. Parents can expect their child to be involved in a safe and supportive environment where researchers will carefully assess how well the liquid hourglass and spiky ball work in reducing discomfort during a routine medical procedure.

• Inclusion Criteria:
• • The child must be between 4-6 years old
• • The child and parent must agree to participate in the research
• • The child and parent must be able to speak Turkish
• Exclusion Criteria:
• • The child is not in the appropriate age range
• • The child is in pain
• • The child's body temperature is 38°C and above
• • The child has a mental or auditory disability
• • The child is unconscious
• • The child and parent do not agree to participate in the study
