ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how people understand the risks associated with genetic testing. The researchers want to find out which type of visual aid—like charts or diagrams—helps people best understand their genetic risk. They’re also interested in how individuals relate this risk to their overall health and what factors encourage them to talk about their test results with family members.
To participate, you should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and able to read and understand English. If you join the study, you'll receive one of two visual aids that display genetic risk information and then share your thoughts on your risk level and your feelings about discussing this information with your family. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how we communicate genetic risks to patients and their families.
