ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on improving how lab results, specifically related to kidney health, are communicated to older adults. Researchers are working on a model that uses electronic health records to better predict the risk of chronic kidney disease (CKD) progressing. By analyzing existing health data, they hope to make this model more accurate and possibly adapt it for other health issues. It’s important to note that this study won't involve direct interaction with patients; instead, it will use secure, anonymous health data.

To be eligible for this study, participants need to be 65 years or older, have had at least five years of health care follow-up, and have undergone a specific lab test related to kidney function. Unfortunately, those younger than 65, or who have not had a long-term follow-up, will not be included. Since the trial is not yet recruiting, there is no immediate action required from potential participants, but it aims to enhance how older adults can understand their health information better in the future.
